About Cristel Graphics Limited

Please take a look at our memberships and qualifications that ensure high quality every time.

Background

Cristel Graphics Limited was formed on 1 January 1999 out of a partnership, which was originally created in 1983 between John Wormald and Terry Broadbent, when Simplex Time Recorder Co., a global US organisation, closed down their UK manufacturing subsidiary, Simplex Time Recorder Co. (UK) Limited. These two executives between them had purchased the UK electronics, manufacturing and printing businesses, forming Cristel Graphics. The company was split into 3 main product areas: Time/Clock Cards, Time Equipment and General Printing.

On 31 January 2004, John Wormald retired as Managing Director by selling his entire interest in the business to his co-Director, Terry Broadbent and Terry's son, Steven. Therefore, on 1 February 2004 Cristel Graphics Ltd. began a new chapter as a truly "family business".

The Company relocated from Dunkirk Mills, Dunkirk Street, Halifax during 2008 to The Print Works, Lightowler Road, Halifax, formerly part of the Remploy Halifax site.

Then, in June 2010, Terry Broadbent retired as Managing Director, selling his shareholding to his son, Steven and daughter-in-law, Michelle, with Steven taking the position of Managing Director.
